I'll Keep Trying Or Die

You ever just wonder why you do things? Or if you should do anything. I'm at that point, often. Seems like what I think is worth doing, eventually isn't. What I think I should be doing, I either don't have the energy or know-how to pull it off successfully. I'll keep trying or die.

Not Sure? Then Prey to Cheezus!

Not sure about this blog. Not sure about my life. Not sure about my future or my past. Or anything in between. Broken promises, broken hearts and houses. Unwanted children, tossed by the storms. This world would be better off without. Without people, without greed, without lies. Noun deficiency strikes me at the worst times. I know what I want to say but the words I want to use vanish like fog. My mind is cluttered with useless lies from decades of thinking I held the answers in an over-quoted book. The Book of Lies beckons to all, "Read and imagine it to be true! If you want it to happen, then it will be so." Just PREY, for the holey cheeses of righteousness to magically fix all your problems and make you happy. "Dear Cheezes, please make everyone sick feel all better, Don't let them be sad, or mad or hurt. Please heal all of us and help us believe in you more." The word "exploit" is what I tried to remember, but it was elusive l...

I Pray For You

I pray your brakes go out  Running down a hill  I pray a flower pot falls  From a window sill  And knocks you in the head  Like I’d like to  I pray your birthday comes  And nobody calls  I pray you're flying high  When your engine stalls  I pray all your dreams  Never come true  Just know wherever you are  Honey, I pray for you (someone posted this on facebook and I thought it was funny)

Unimportant Appointments (A poem or a song, written by me)

I'm a no-one In a nowhere town Sitting with my book And my gas station coffee On a gazebo step At the library park. The cars and trucks whiz by They don't see me Even if they did Even if they know me They don't care. They're too busy Racing to nowhere To get to their Unimportant appointments With everyone Who doesn't really matter. The sky is gorgeous The rain clouds moved on The trees grew their shade For us to sit in To rush through To drink our coffee And read our books And race our vehicles To nowhere in a rush For our unimportant appointments. The church bells toll To remind us of the time They echo heartbreakingly Beautiful notes Chiming the time for us For anyone who cares to listen. Are you paying attention Do you even care Or are you busy rushing Whizzing by Do you hear Do you see Do you care? *I was told this song reminds someone of the song by Simon & Garfunkel - Homeward Bound

Ranting About My Bank

I should do something about the bank where my husband and I have accounts. I went there to cash a check for my youngest daughter (she signed it and I forgot to). I was asked if she had an account there, told them no. I told them that my husband and I both had an account there. They told me that we could have it cashed for a fee or take it to the other bank it was from (in the same town) to have them cash it. I was aghast that the fee would be $7.50, also that they would charge when we've cashed checks from out of state, with no explanation as to why, no offer to drop the fee if I signed too. We went to the other bank and were nicely told that it may have been because the check giver's info wasn't preprinted. They didn't charge us at all! I'll probably call our bank and talk to someone in management early next week about it. Interesting twist on it here...I have a friend who I mentioned to briefly about "ranting about my bank" that day and he asked "Wh...
