Since my last post...

Okay, since I posted that, I remembered the name of the fractal program I missed so I dl'd it and turns out I got a better version of it with more options than before. I only am not sure how to save it in a standard picture file type but will figure it out soon. I discovered that I have some programs similar to ones I had before, besides dl'ing dogwaffle to play with again. I'll need to use some good tuts for these programs. I have scribus and blender, which look like great programs! Just got through playing bejeweled and need a break so I'll see what I can accomplish afk before the tea house poetry reading in SL at 7 my time.

Yes, it's been ages...

Things were going fine for a long while, then my XP got blue screens, decided not to work and I hit ctrl-F5 (or whatever it was) to start it over and lost everything I had on it. This was back in 10 or 11, '07. I made sure to get Photoshop 7.0 and some other basic programs I needed but gone are the days of playing with other programs I dl'd because I lost the faves lists and can't remember names of most or where they were. Today I'm missing the fractal program I had (can't remember the name) and there are time I miss Dogwaffle, but don't have the key info someone gave me. I also was going to learn Max 3DS....perhaps I had too much and it was time to clean things up? I lost all I had in Swish too. Oh well, the change came at a hectic time, holidays to plan for and I was sick often. So now I am back to wondering about getting some of the programs replaced that I lost but don't want to pester anyone for the info. I think it discouraged me about working hard on ...

Thoughts while waiting...

I see people who remind me of people I knew, People I loved and were close to. I see people I know that I'm not close to and who barely know me. I should be used to losing those I love. It shouldn't hurt anymore. It should be easy to make new friends and replace those I lost. But are we just someone's extra lost sock to replace with a new pair? We are people with feelings and it hurts to love and then lose. But it's better than to have never loved at all! So I will continue loving and not be afraid of possibly losing again. I will also appreciate those who love me!

Answers to Burning Questions

"To find answers to these burning questions: Why were we born? Why do we die? And why do we spend so much time in between wearing digital watches?" - Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams Why were we born? Our parents either planned us or we were accidents! I mean doh you put two members of a species together and if they're opposite sexes and they do 'stuffs' together they tend to reproduce, and if you're lucky they're actually born and grow up and the reproduction continues through countless generations. You get my drift? Common sense! (Knucklehead's ask such 'tarded questions!) Why do we die? Imagine if no one ever died yet humanity continued reproducing, now wouldn't that be a pickle for this ol' globe...we would have to have skyscrapers on top of skyscrapers and roads in the air and live underground and be like the freakin' Jetsons! And why do we spend so much time in between wearing digital watches? I dunno about yo...

Drunk at Your Door

A man is in bed with his wife when there is a knock on the door. He rolls over and looks at his clock -- it's half-past three in the morning. "I'm not getting out of bed at this time", he thinks, and rolls over. Then, a louder knock follows. "Aren't you going to answer that?" says his wife. So, he drags himself out of bed and goes downstairs. He opens the door and there is man standing at the door. It didn't take the homeowner long to realize the man was drunk. "Hi there," slurs the stranger, "Can you give me a push?" "No. Get lost, it's half-past three. I was in bed," says the man and slams the door. He goes back up to bed and tells his wife what happened and she says "Dave, that wasn't very nice of you. Remember that night we broke down in the pouring rain on the way to pick the kids up from the baby-sitter and you had to knock on that man's door to get us started again? What would have happened if h...

Beauty and Wisdom

It involves the cognition of a balanced form and structure that elicits attraction and appeal towards a person, animal, inanimate object, scene, music, idea, etc. - Wikipedia "Wise men learn more from fools, than fools from the wise." - Fortune Cookie by gadgetate

Could this be Ming and Ling or shall we call them Ping and Sting?
